Effective reading

It is important to read at a slow pace if your aim is to get an overview of important information. Speed-reading does not work for this purpose. Effective reading is about comprehension and adding the information to your long-term memory. The goal should be to make the information into your personal possession, so you can retrieve it later when you need it.
